Friendship Games Meeting#2

A message brought to you by your Social-Cultural Coordinators:

Hey everyone!
We’d like to thank everyone who came to our first Friendship Games Informational Meeting! We had a great turnout and we’re glad that everyone is excited to go! We wanted to let everyone know that it is NOT too late to sign up. There is anotherMANDATORY meeting THIS TUESDAY, October 14th from 8:00-10:00PM in Classroom Unit One. (*Note the time change due to e2 Open House and PDT Practice) We will be going over a brief rundown of the weekend again, as well as signing up for games, HOTEL ROOM ASSIGNMENTS, and a few more important things.

So far, we have over 70 people interested in coming to Friendship Games, not including anyone new that’s coming to the meeting on Tuesday. This means that …

* WE NEED DRIVERS!!!!!!!!! We ONLY have about 8 proposed drivers so far,
which means only about HALF OF YOU can go at this point. SO PLEASE TRY TO
DRIVE IF YOU CAN OR ASK OTHERS TO COME AND DRIVE! BIG CARS ARE MUCH
APPRECIATED. REMEMBER THIS EVENT IS FIRST COME FIRST SERVE, whoever turns in
their money and waiver first, equaling the amount of seats we have available
in cars is GUARANTEED TO GO! YOU CAN DRIVE? LET US KNOW!

* COSTS: If you’re wondering about how much this trip will cost, it depends
on the amount of people participating. You’re going to be looking at
somewhere around $60 (registration, hotel, and shirts) if all 70 people
attend, which doesn’t include paying for gas, depending on your driver. This
figure is still subject to change. We will start collecting $ as soon as we
let you know the amount, but sometime at the end of this week. OCTOBER 17TH
IS THE LAST DAY TO SIGN UP, TURN IN $, & YOUR WAIVER.

* MANDATORY WAIVER: We’ve attached the waiver that you must turn in with
your $, if you haven’t already picked one up. Remember that if you are under
18, you must have it signed by your parent of guardian. The waiver is at the end of this post in a word document. Let us know if you’re not able to open the document.

* If you did not attend the first meeting, please let us know your phone #,
year, shirt size, and if you can DRIVE via e-mail!

* HEADS UP ON DATES:
- Oct. 14 – INFO MEETING #2 8-10PM @ CU1
- Oct. 17 – LAST DAY TO SIGN UP & PAY FOR FG (due in FSA office)
- Oct. 20 – DRIVER TRAINING MTG. 4PM @ SOAR
- Oct. 23 – MANDATORY: FINAL MEETING #3 8-10PM @ CU1
- OCT 24-26 – FRIENDSHIP GAMES IN SOCAL!

We know this is a lot of information, but its definitely good to know! So,
please try to encourage anyone that can drive and we’ll see you at the next
